Originally planted in 1937 – half of it is in process of being replaced, which means the ground lies fallow for some years.
Full mid lemon. A solid, ungiving nose, with excellent fruit weight, though a bit
monolithic at this stage, before a good mineral aftertaste. Plenty of tension
here for the medium to long term. Tasted: October 2022. 92-95 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
Saline, crushed seashells, green peppercorns on the nose. Sucré attack, juicy lemons, quince, mineral, a little cedre. Very pleasing, mouth-coating and lingering. Katharine Maude.
