2021, Château Fuissé, SAINT-VÉRAN

The Saint-Véran vineyards are located in the north of the appellation and are adjacent to Pouilly-Fuissé. Limestone and clay soils in this appellation yield wines that are at once firm, rich yet vibrant and pure with great minerality.
Aged in stainless steel tanks to sustain freshness.

An expressive and overtly exotic nose features notes of pineapple, lychee and white peach that are nuanced by hints of mineral reduction and citrus rind. The sleek, delicious and attractively intense flavours possess a bracing salinity on the bitter lemon-inflected finale. This should also drink well young but repay a few years of keeping as well. 88 Allen Meadows, Burghound.

Bottled June 2022. Very pale and clear light gold appearance. Brioche and honey on the nose. Fresh and round on the attack, mineralité lingers in the mouth. Good drinking. Katharine Maude, at the domaine - 29/09/2022
