The 2020 Volnay Taillepieds 1er Cru has a slightly disjointed nose at first, but it coheres in the glass with black cherry, cassis and crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied with fine backbone, showing a little more delineation than the Les Pitures with a chalky-textured finish. A little showy at the moment, give this several years in bottle if you can. 91-93 Neal Martin, Vinous.
