Discreet wood serves as a relatively neutral backdrop for the fresh aromas of red currant and earth that are laced with plenty of sauvage character. The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Village comes from eight different blocks instead of the usual nine, as the Les Crots has been bottled separately. It has a simple but effective bouquet of red cherries and cranberry jus aromas. The candied palate is well balanced, offering sappy red fruit, gentle grip and a lightly spiced finish.
