70% whole bunch vinification. Glowing purple, not too deep, showing its hillside location. The fruit is beautifully elegant with a little limestone zest to finish, tannins completely integrated, lowish acidity. Very pleasing and accessible quite early. As one would expect given its elevated position on the slope, the equally elegant but even cooler and airier nose features notes of ultra-floral dark berries and a hint of exotic tea. The super-sleek, even silky, flavours possess excellent underlying tension while exuding evident minerality on the chiseled finish of crystalline purity. Lovely juice that is almost delicate yet packs very good flavour authority. Outstanding. 89-91 Burghound.
