Light in grip but with fine body and depth, this fans out with a little more chutzpah than the Les Brulés on the finish. Limestone on the top, then marl, then clay, picked at the same time but vinified separately so as to have lighter toasting of the barrels from the upper part, as all new wood. The bouquet is all about the fruit and the terroir, with the oak barely showing. A beautiful wealth of white fruit, including white peach, all infused with a classical mineral acidity and very persistent.
