A light bright ruby purple. The bouquet is quite perfumed but perhaps less evident than En la Rue de Vergy. Now the perfume emerges further. Low pH here which then shows in the liveliness of the palate. Even a little austere to finish. Little red berries. I suspect there is a lot more to come from this wine. **** 91-93 Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
A strikingly floral-suffused nose speaks of a variety of spice nuances including exotic jasmine tea. I very much like the mid-palate texture of the intensely mineral-driven medium-bodied flavours that display focused power and precision on the dusty and austere finale that is presently a bit grippy, though I suspect it will round out with time in bottle and my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that it will. 89-91 Burghound.
Clair's trilogy of high-altitude communal bottlings concludes with the 2022 Vosne-Romanée Les Champs Perdrix, an ample and fleshy wine that offers up aromas of sweet raspberries, raw cocoa and spices. Medium to full-bodied, racy and saline, it concludes with chalky grip that will soften with bottle age. 90-92 William Kelley, Wine Advocate.
