Moderate wood sets off liqueur-like aromas of dark cherry, humus and pretty spice wisps. Here is excellent volume to the sleek, delicious and impressively intense medium-bodied flavours that flash an almost pungent minerality on the dusty, youthfully austere and strikingly long finale. This is terrific though note well that's unapologetically built-to-age and a wine that going to need at least some.
Sweet Spot Outstanding.

Bright fresh purple. Less nose than the Chambolle. There is some intensity of fresh red fruit, quite tightly knit, a raspberry fruit energy, a wine which will develop well if it relaxes as it ages. Drink from 2028-2033.

Chalandins is at the base of the slope, just above the Route Nationale, and straddling the border between Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Echézeaux; the domaine owns 0.28 hectares here. They were cautious to control the extraction in 2022. The result is a beautiful wine, with ripe blackberry fruit with hints of violets and earth and a supple, velvety texture with enough density to satisfy but no heaviness.
