The Bourgogne blanc from Domaine de la Vougeraie outperforms the category with ripe apple fruit aromas and hints of spice and smoke. The texture is supple and round but has enough acidity to draw it to a reasonable finish - solidly constructed and accessible. The grapes come mainly from the village of Chaux in the lieux-dits of Le Combet Chalot and Corvée de Villy, supplemented by a bit of fruit from Volnay and Chassagne. They were pressed as whole clusters and fermented in cask, where the wine is now ageing. 91 Charles Curtis MW, Decanter

Includes the handful of grapes picked in Chassagne En l’Ormeau. Fullish yellow, toasty barrel reduction, juicy plummy fruit, a little sucrosity then quite trenchant acidity. This should all settle down and there is good density here. Drink from 2024-2026. *** 86-87 Jasper Morris MW

Hautes cotes, some Chassagne and some Volnay commune vines.
A little toast, grilled nuts too. Vibrant, mouth-watering pure and ripe with juicy citrus. This finishes really well, still quite toasty. Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report.
