Peter Maude Fine Wines

2019, Maison Benjamin Leroux, AUXEY-DURESSES, Village Blanc

A little more lemon colour and a noticeably deeper bouquet compared to the Monthelie. Minor vegetal note for now. Fills the mouth with ripe apple notes, but still a core of fresh mineral intensity through the middle. Very good length. 87-89/100, Jasper Morris, MW.

The initial impression is one of ripe apricots touched with honey. The texture on the palate is creamy and lush, but not overly so, and there is enough freshness to balance the wine, making it a pleasant drink indeed. 90/100, Charles Curtis , MW, Decanter.
