Peter Maude Fine Wines

2019, Chateau Fuisse, POUILLY-FUISSE, "Tête de Cuvée"

Château-Fuissé’s Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée is sourced from more than 40 parcels and located throughout the estate’s 100-acre holdings. The personal touch of Antoine Vincent in the final blend makes this wine the representative example of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. Aged in oak barrels (60%) and stainless steel tanks (40%).

Moderate wood frames the citrusy and smoky aromas of white flowers, pear and more discreet citrus nuances. There is better volume to the energetic and equally rich medium-bodied flavours that culminate in a youthfully austere, bone dry and sneaky long finish. This is very good and worth considering.
