Domaine Tollot-Beaut
Chorey-Les-Beaune
Just a short drive from the township of Beaune, this more than 100 year old domaine is now in the fifth generation hands of the Tollot family. It encompasses a 24 hectare property that sits in the centre of Chorey-lès-Beaune on Rue Alexandre Tollot, named after the great-grandfather of present day Nathalie Tollot who runs the domaine with cousins Jean-Paul and Olivier. The Beaut part of the domain’s name comes from Alexandre’s wife – Aurélie Beaut.
Tollot Beaut produces very high quality wines which some critics have attributed to an extremely high proportion of old vines and in particular a very old and delicate clone known as 'the Pinot Fin strain' - considered highly desirable for quality. The wines are clean, beautifully balanced, focused and beautifully crafted.
The domaine has 16 crus in which no fertilisers are used. Everything is hand-done in the vineyard with regular small-parcel grape selection during picking, minimal handling, and the only mechanical exception being the foliage thinning.
