Domaine Pierre Guillemot
The Guilemot family have been in the wine business for eight generations and Pierre Guillemot, after whom the domaine is named, made his first vintage in 1946. He retired in 1988 and his son Jean-Pierre took over.
Average vine age is 55-years, yields have been lowered to six bunches per vine and the vineyard is carefully eco-managed with a focus on terroir expression. The domaine produces eight wines including a Corton grand cru and four premier crus from Savigny-les-Beaune. The one and only white is a Savigny-les-Beaune Dessus des Gollardes Village which is a blend of Pinot Blanc (70%) and Chardonnay (30%) - a very well made wine that offers amazing value-for-money.
