On this family estate established in 1947, the Brusset family has managed to combine the "savoir faire" of traditional winemaking with the new techniques introduced by each generation. The founder, André Brusset (1910-1999), his son Daniel, and his grand-son Laurent : three wine-growers and wine-makers with a variety of experiences have all contributed to the distinctive character of the Domaine Brusset, where three complementary generations together have achieved the best results.
In the heart of the Côtes du Rhône region, between Orange, Vaison la Romaine and Bollène, the Brusset estate owns several vineyards. All the Brusset Vineyards - Les Travers, Les Hauts de Montmirail and Les Boudalles - are planted with noble grape varieties : Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Carignan for red and rosé wines. Clairette, Bourboulenc and Marsanne for white wines. Plus 100% pure Viognier for special reserves.
This 90 hectare estate in the heart of Southern Rhône is based in the ancient village of Cairanne. Currently the Domaine is now run by Andre's son Daniel, and grandson Laurent, who is the winemaker. Yields are well below that required by law, and the fruit is of the highest quality. Vinification is traditional, with a small proportion of the harvest undergoing whole bunch fermentation in order to retain the fruitiness of the grapes.
