Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, Cremant de Bourgogne
$45
Vincent Mongeard has been expanding his portfolio in recent years and this Crémant de Bourgogne - named for his granddaughter Chloé - it is a very welcome addition.
Crafted from 100% Chardonnay grown on limestone and clay soils in Vincent's Vosne-Romanée plot "Les Lutenières", this is a fine alternative to Champagne, with it's delicious easy-going style. Could almost be described as Prossecco-ish, but with more complexity - and of course drier.
Extremely high quality Burgundian bubbles for a great price.
