The second wine of Roc de Cambes - from the young vines + a seperate parcel just outside the appellation.

The 2021 Domaine de Cambes is a doppelgänger for a Burgundy with its pure dark cherry and blueberry fruit, very pure and perfumed. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins framing black plum and boysenberry fruit laced with white pepper. Gentle, almost soothing, this should be absolutely delicious once in bottle. 89-91 Neal Martin.

The 2021 Domaine de Cambes is a very pretty wine with lovely aromatic presence and detail. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, spice and mint grace a delicate, understated Domaine de Cambes that is all charm. The 2021 is attractive, but also a bit light in texture but it opens nicely with a bit of air. 90-92 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.

From vines growing on deep, cool clays on the foggy bank of the Gironde, where tannins degrade without any loss of freshness, the 2021 Domaine de Cambes unfurls in the glass with aromas of sweet cherries, mulberries, cocoa nib, tobacco and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's lively and succulent, concluding with a long, saline finish. Despite its evident quality, it's entitled to no more than the simple Bordeaux appellation. 90-92 William Kelley, Wine Advocate.
