The 2022 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has far superior delineation and terroir expression than the Bâtard or Bienvenue - this oozes quality with touches of yellow fruit, fern and crushed stone. The palate is well-balanced with a silver bead of acidity. It is very focused, perhaps not quite as saline as the very best examples, yet the finish feels very persistent.
